What is yoga?

 The Sanskrit word for "union" or "yoke" is Yoga Leyton Grange Estate. Yoke means to assemble, tie, or join together. Although the term "yoga" was first used with its current meaning in the Katha Upanishad, it was originally described in the Rigveda. Sometime between the fifth and third centuries, BCE was used to write this ancient spiritual literature.

One of the most well-known books on the foundations of yoga is the Yoga Sutras, which Patanjali penned in 200 BCE. He defines yoga as yoga’s chitta-vritti-nirodhah in sutra 1.2 of this fundamental work. According to this translation, yoga is the cessation of the mind's swirling fluctuations.
